The Moselle

The cycling tour heads downhill with fantastic views of the Moselle town of Burgen. It then continues on the Moselle cycle path past the vineyards on the Moselle terraces to Koblenz and „Deutsches Eck". At „Kaiser Wilhelm" and the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine Rivers you will jump aboard the 14.00 Köln-Düsseldorfer-Rhinelinie boat. Now let yourself be spoilt with the wonderful views of the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Stolzenfels Castle and the Marksburg and then sail comfortably to the "jewel of the Rhine" namely Boppard. Return with the Hunsrück railway.

Take the Schinderhannes Lower Moselle cycle path to Burgen. From here the tour goes up the Moselle through Treis-Karden to Cochem. Get to know this little gem on the Central Moselle. Maybe there will be time to view the unique and well-maintained Reichsburg, which sits high above the town. The boat takes you back to Treis-Karden. In Burgen you will climb aboard the cycle bus at 18.00 and it will bring you back to the Hunsrück heights.
