The Hunsrück Railway

The Hunsrück railway between Boppard and Emmelshausen is without a doubt one of the nicest ways to travel around Hunsrück. The steepest and most beautiful routes lead through five tunnels on 15km of rails, over two viaducts and up to Hunsrück heights.

Boat Tours

You do not have to pay a toll anymore if you sail through the Rhine past all of the castles on one of the fleet boats. You only have to pay the price for the steamer trip such as one of the large white boats from the Köln Düsselsdorfer-Schifffahrtgesellschaft or the Loreley-Linie

 

Boppard Chairlift

One of the highlights of your visit to Boppard is a trip with the chairlift from the Valley Station at Mühltal to "Vierseenblick" which is also the starting point for wonderful walks. After a 20 minute journey you can enjoy a unique view of the largest loop in the Rhine. You can take a little walk too.

A Tour of the Town with the Rhine Express through Boppard

A mini railway takes you on a 30 minute journey through Boppard past Roman and mediaeval walls and many historical buildings.

The stops are at the market place, Rhineallee/corner of Karmeliterstraße, chairlift and the bus park near to the chairlift.
